Medical Herbalism Services
What is Medical Herbalism?
Herbal medicine is the oldest form of healthcare and still used by most of the population of the planet. Combined with nutrition, herbal medicine is a safe and effective way to treat a wide variety of health complaints ranging from eczema to high blood pressure.
Rahav Wellness’ Master Herbalist, Daniela Turley, BSc. (Hons.) MCPP, AHG has been treating people using Herbal Medicine for over eleven years.
What should I expect during my consultation?
An initial consultation consists of taking an in-depth case history including details of the presenting complaint, the health of body systems and dietary analysis. The EDS (electrodermal screening) tests that are appropriate are then carried out, whether it be food intolerance testing or measuring the strength of an organ. At the end of the meeting, a printout of the results is given to the client.
Daniela will then put together a report which involves a summary of her findings, details of the herbal remedies prescribed and a dietary plan. Herbal medicine that is suggested, is given in the form of a bespoke liquid or tablet formulation (typically of between five and six herbs). These are ordered from European suppliers who under European law make herbal extracts to GMP standards.
Follow up appointments are normally scheduled every two to four weeks after where progress is assessed.

Medical Herbalism FAQS
How long will it take to get better?
Recovery depends upon the severity of your condition. Although you may feel better soon after treatment, recovery typically takes approximately six weeks. In some cases it may take three to six months to reach optimum health.
Do I have to brew and drink horrible tasting teas?
No! Most herbs are prescribed in the form of capsules, pills, or tinctures. Tinctures are an herbal liquid extract that can be taken directly or mixed in water or juice. If teas are you thing though, my range of medicinal teas have been specially blended for their palatability as well as their effectiveness.
Is herbal medicine the same as homeopathy?
No, they are completely different. Homeopathy uses minute dilutions of a wide range of substances to energetically address illness. Herbal medicine uses phytochemicals and nutrients to physically and energetically effect on the body systems.
